Meet Justin Vier’ Calomese, the owner and founder of Med Stat Staffing, travel nurse agency. Justin was born in Meridian, Mississippi in 1989 and grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi. He graduated from Harrison Central High School in 2007 and went on to earn an Associates in Applied Arts from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on a football scholarship.
After completing his associate’s degree, Justin continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned a double major in biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While working as a cardiothoracic surgery nurse and pursuing his Master of Science in Nursing, Justin was accepted into the global MD program through Florida International University with the American University of Antigua.
However, Justin’s medical journey took a sudden turn when he began experiencing vision loss during his first year of medical school. After undergoing medical testing, Justin was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease. This experience inspired him to shift his focus to the entrepreneurial side of medicine, leading him to found our travel nurse agency.
Despite the challenges he has faced, Justin remains committed to providing high-quality healthcare staffing solutions that prioritize patient-centered care, safety, cost-effectiveness, and professionalism. He is passionate about building long-term partnerships with top healthcare providers and empowering healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
